Everything about this book was... life-changing. 
It made me cry and want to grab someone, hugging them. But I didnt. I held back. 
Surprised? So am I. 
Anyway, have a box of tissues nearby. I didnt (Was all out) and my nose was really red by the time I finished the book. And itchy. Paper towels used as tissues? 
Not so much. 
Girls? Some chocolate would do, too.

OK, so you just read the summary, right? here are a few of some of my favorite comments to this book- 

Jeannette (Most Of My Favorite Authors are Dead) 
This is the most hilarious vagina memoir ever written. Okay, so technically it's not just about vaginas, but she mentions hers more often than anyone I've ever known who actually owns one. And besides, I had to throw that out there right at the start, so if you're going to get all upset you can just get it overwith and stay. away. from. the. book. Should you choose to read it anyway, don't come back to me all complainy about how crass she is.

First, I should mention that I listened to this one on audiobook. Didn't read the text version. 

Second, the audio version is read by the author. I think Jenny did a nice job with it, too. If you're used to nothing but professional audiobook narrators, there might be a few verbal ticks in here that might bug you. But me? For an autobiographical work like this? I'd much rather hear it in the author's own voice.

I’m not sure what I enjoyed more about this book. The actual laughing to tears moments while reading or the actual laughing to tears moments while retelling the stories to my boyfriend (who kept mentioning that he and Victor have a lot in common). 

It says a great deal about Jenny Lawson (of blogging fame) that at 38, she was able to write a 300+ page memoir that is interesting to read. Interesting, not because she is a celebrity or has boinked a celebrity, but because she has lived a strange life and has maintained a good attitude about that life.

I wrote this book so I think I'm required to like it. But I'd like it even if someone else wrote it. Although if they did I'd sue them for stealing my life story.

You got that the author wrote a review on her own book, right? I just decided. 
I love her. 
Some of the negative comments were a bit vindictive. Just because they don't have an interesting life such as Jenny Lawson doesn't mean they have to be so condescending. 
How rude. Its a memoir. Its supposed to be about her life and how it all came together -if not a little roughly- but still put together. Everyone's rough around the edges here, people. 
Its life! 
If people were smooth then it would be total Creeps city. Sorta like E.T and Hancock put together. Think about that for a moment. 
 I told you, Creeps city. 
Anywho, back to the book. It does talk a lot about vagina's, chupacabra's,  taxidermy, and dirty towels on the floor. Each and every new chapter brings forth something new. *insert face palm here* (Very cheesy line, I apologize.) 
Plus every book with Laugh-Out-Loud chapters is a plus.

This book is like a Pay Day.
You have an inkling that your craving that little something. (We know this well, ladies.) Something a little sweet, a little salty. 
You tasted it, you liked it; salty and sweet, you devour it, and you keep eating it until it's all gone. Gone. Gone. 
And then you think, "Yep. OK. I don't have to eat another pay Day until Easter. Or just...next month." 

BOY ON CINNAMON STREET by Phoebe Stone was like a pay day. 
Salty. "Kept you reading, wanting to find out more." 
Sweet. "the feels, guys ,the feels." 
Yet you think again, "It was a cute little read. Fast. The writing was...knifty. OK- onto a thriller."

It's not like this book wasnt good. Like i said, It is like a Pay day. You eat it once in awhile and you're good. You dont eat it -or read it or any other book like it- for a long time. 
No Offence Ms. Stone.

I had no qualms about the first book. It was about a bad ass assassin whom had a love triangle. I''m not one for love triangles.
And her character....
1. She's an assassin. I loved the way Sarah made her different and how the assassin loves clothes and looking pretty.
But to make her so... Narcissistic?
Not cool, man. 
Actually, let me clarify. In one instance she's all goody-goody. The next shes; touch-me-I-will kill-you- and-stuff-you-in-a-casket.
So there are two sides to her.
What I didn't like was that (other than her narcissism) she didn't really like making decisions for herself. She was always, "Is this going to work?"
"Will this be OK?"
and, "Will someone be mad at me?" 

And there are five six books.
 Six.
I know. So six books to keep the book series going, to keep it stretched long enough for six books.
No qualms.
Except, when I read the second book. Halfway through I wanted to stop and tear my eyeballs out of my head. So why would I want to read the next four books? I wouldn't.
What aggravated me the most was the love triangle. Like I said, I'm not much for them anyway. *shrug, Shrug*  I don't think I'm going to read the rest of this series.

Who doesnt like a movie with Sandra Bullock and Mallisa McCarthy? Certainley not me.

This is quircky, funny, absolutley action packed, ect. Which makes this good for both Male and Female viewers. Throught the whole movie you're laughing and by the end of it- well you better hope for a cough drop and tissues. You'll be rollin' laughing with tears in you're eyes and a sore throat from laughing so hard.

First off, there is one thing you notice when you look at this awesome book cover. And no it's not the awesome font.
It's the bad ass woman you see, holding knives cleavers and wearing tight black clothing.
Who wouldn't want to read this?
I mean, duh.

It was a page turner for me. Everything about it was fast paced and utterly.... HUGE. Her personality was amusing and her relationships were... humorous. Funny.
I loved it!
But only you can judge a book for we all have different opinions.
Now that I have splurged and told you the good news, handing you a cherry piece of pie here's the parts that agravvated me:
1. Dorian. He's the prince. You would think he would be smarter than he is? though Sarah J. Mass did a good job on making him different than any other of those pale faces prince's out there.
and
2. Chaol. how in the world-? never mind. he just needs to... how do I put this? Hmm. he needs to tell himself how much he likes her. Already. Get on with it.

See what I mean? hellooo Levi. Farm boy extraordinaire. Rainbow Rowell captures the essence of love, whatever that may be. She can write!

And I oh-so-do love it!

Elizabeth Smart..... My Story

If you ever -I mean ever- want to read this book (You have to read it!!) Have a box of tissues, emergency chocolate, and a happy movie on hand. And maybe the happy movie wont cut it because you'll be sitting there watching it and still crying about Elizabeth's story. 
And it would be awkward if someone walked in with you watching a happy movie, and well... crying. 

"What are you doing?" This is where you picture that person look of dumbfounded-ness.

uhhh.... Yep, drawing a blank.

"Want some chocolate?" *Offers the box up innocently while still crying*

Anyway, back to the book.
Elizabeth Smart. 
Is
Brilliant. 
 The whole story captured the child like innocence of a fear/terror/ horrible experience of getting taken out of your bed and made to walk a long way with a knife at your back. Scary. 
 The whole book captured the true fear of one who is only fourteen. 
one thing did irritate me though and that was the fact that she kept repeating herself. I quickly got over it by the end of the book. 
And by the end of the book I mean... Well I was looking pretty darn horrible. So I had to wait awhile to blog this so that I could actually see properly. 

Red itchy eyes, puffy leaky nose, and bitten off finger nails.

I give this book about two stars and here's why,
 1. the beginning of the book. Drawn out, and way too long.

 Willem -oh be still my heart!- was a fantastic, mysterious, love-me-not by who turned into a man. he was deep and sentimental. And then in Just one year he became so.... how do I put it?

Yep, that's about right. And then you find out he's actually a wuss. Accidents blah, blah, blah. It was all an accident.

3. The ending.  It was awful. I waited a year for just one year to come out -the irony right?- and it comes out. I read it.

It was like taking a walk a journey, really reading Just one Day. And then Just one year come out, you'r so excited! Heart pounding.
You read it.
Yep. Your feet are bleeding by the time you finish the book.
Then your like, "WHHHHYYYYY???!!!!" And scare the crap out of your neighbors dog. Who then, in turn starts barking so you can't sleep and all you can think about is the book you just read.
Ugh.

I was up late, reading my kindle until three in the morning. A beautiful book I could not put down. Heres why;

NOT A NEW GIRL ANYMORE

This book.... from Patricia McCormick, I give you applause, Ms. McCormick. It was captivating, exciting, and well written. Something about this book just compels you to read more. To keep going and seeing what will happen to Lakshmi. This book is made with such simple words it makes you want to cry. Its like a slap in the face, of reality hanging right before you very nose. It opens your eyes. 
It makes you think about these girls who are sold into prostitution. It makes you think, "What if that was me?"

Mortal Instruments

So I read the Mortal instruments a few years ago, and I absolutely loved them! (that was before the hunger games)
But this post isn't about the books at the moment.
Its about the movie.
  It was at the dollar theater, the last day for the movie to be playing. We were the only ones in the theater.
Which was great, by the way.
Short summary-
When her mother disappears, Clary Fray learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons. She joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld.

Anyway.... The book vs. the movie.
I know, I know. GET ON WITH IT! Right?
Well personally I don't think people should compare the books with the movies. Everyone has a different take on everything.
A lot of people said that the book followed the movie really closely. Some people said the movie sucked.
I liked the book.
Loved the movie.
 There were subtle differences between the movie and book (cause everything cant be the same.) One of my favorite parts of the movie though is where Alec meets the gay warlock dude. So funny!!! I was just rolling laughing.
