I give this book about two stars and here's why,
 1. the beginning of the book. Drawn out, and way too long.
2. Willem de' Ruiter (if that how you spell it, If not i'm terribly sorry) In Just one day- http://kimberkatreviews.blogspot.com/search?q=Just+one+day-
 Willem -oh be still my heart!- was a fantastic, mysterious, love-me-not by who turned into a man. he was deep and sentimental. And then in Just one year he became so.... how do I put it?

Yep, that's about right. And then you find out he's actually a wuss. Accidents blah, blah, blah. It was all an accident.
Yeah, right, Bucko.
3. The ending.  It was awful. I waited a year for just one year to come out -the irony right?- and it comes out. I read it.

It was like taking a walk a journey, really reading Just one Day. And then Just one year come out, you'r so excited! Heart pounding.
You read it.
Yep. Your feet are bleeding by the time you finish the book.
Then your like, "WHHHHYYYYY???!!!!" And scare the crap out of your neighbors dog. Who then, in turn starts barking so you can't sleep and all you can think about is the book you just read.
Ugh.

I read this book awhile ago, three long months. Between that time and now I think of this book, the little parts of it and then I remember the big picture. Gayle Forman has crafted a beauty within words, a masterpiece between covers. 
And let me tell you- the summary, does you no justice. When you have this book in your hands, you cant put it down. Even if ice cream is being set right in front of you. You cant seem to move away from the words. 
And now's my time to judge. 
    If someone else had wrote the story the plot would probably be un-believable. Like as in -this is so fake. But with Gayle's master writing, every word you hang on to. Or maybe thats just me. 

But the ending man CLIFF HANGER, it smacked you right on the forhead. Yep YAM! right smack dab in the middle. You could see it coming but then when it left you haning, man that sucks. 
Needless to say, The second book will be coming into my hands soon. 
 When its released anyway.

1. none. I do what I have to in order to keep the household running. Its called 'chores' for a reason. It a hard task you have to get done in order to enjoy free time later.  thats how I was raised.

1. Summertime at four O'clock when the shadows are longest and just a slight breeze is blowing. Or when there's a slight rain fall, then night air clear and crisp.

between the lines is an extraordinaire book! i found this book captivating, and i couldn't put it down! its brilliant, Jodi, and Samantha! praise for you!

i read a lot of book. While i was reading htis one inparticular, i was reading two other ones. (i will blog them) 

But this book captured my attention and held it, so i finished this book before i could put it down to read the other two. Guess what? I finished it in a day!  Not that im bragging or anything....

-THIS book is AWESOME! (oops sorry to yell. My caps lock got stuck.) He is now one of my favorite authors. This book is in my list of 20  top books to read. Again, and again. 


Sam Hopkins is a good kid who has fallen in with the wrong crowd. Hanging around with car thieves and thugs, Sam knows it's only a matter of time before he makes one bad decision too many and gets into real trouble.

But one day, Sam sees these thugs harassing an eccentric schoolmate named Jennifer. Finding the courage to face the bullies down, Sam loses a bad set of friends and acquires a very strange new one.

Because Jennifer is not just eccentric. To Sam, she seems downright crazy. She has terrifying hallucinations involving demons, the devil, and death. And here's the "really" crazy part: Sam is beginning to suspect that these visions may actually be prophecies-prophecies of something terrible that's going to happen very soon. I give this book four stars. Partly because i had to skip pages to actually read this book. if you know what i mean.

This book has little romance, but great action.

Bombing In Boston

At least three dead, 130 injured after bombs explode at Boston Marathon

In the Boston Marathon there was a tragic bombing....

People were at a Marathon in Boston when the bombing happened. You know what? If i were in Boston the day of a Marathon, i would have gone.
There are 130 people injured and at least three dead, so far.




The Massachusetts college student wanted in the Boston Marathon bombing was captured wounded but alive after hiding out in a boat parked in a backyard on Friday evening.
The arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, signaled the end of five days of terror set-off by the double bombing at the marathon finish line.
The mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino, was quoted by the Boston Globe as taking to the police scanner to exclaim, 'We got him'.
'I have never loved this city and its people more than I do today. Nothing can defeat the heart of this city .. nothing.'
Relieved law enforcement officers began cheering and clapping after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was arrested and thousands of jubilant members of the public took to the streets to salute their hard work.
The terror suspect is now said to be 'clinging to life' at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - where some marathon bombing victims are also still being treated.
He lost a great deal of blood from his injuries and is still too ill to speak to officers. Initial efforts will be focused on keeping him alive so he can be questioned in full. 
'He had lost a lot of blood. He was so weak that we were able to just go in and scoop him up,' state police spokesman David Procopio told the Boston Herald adding that the suspect was in 'serious if not critical condition'.
The bloody endgame came four days after the bombing and just a day after the FBI released surveillance-camera images of two young men suspected of planting the pressure-cooker explosives that ripped through the crowd at the marathon finish line, killing three people and wounding more than 180.
Dzhokhar's older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, lay dead in a furious 24-hour drama that transfixed the nation and paralyzed the Boston area with fear. 
Boston police commissioner Ed Davis was celebratory in his tone as he took to Twitter to say, 'It’s a proud day to be a Boston police officer. Thank you all.'
'CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won,' the Boston Police Department said on its Twitter account.
Police cornered the younger Tsarnaev  around 7pm, less than an hour after police lifted a stay-indoors order for the city and its suburbs.
Resident David Hanneberry reportedly went outside to smoke and saw the tarpaulin cover of his boat was disturbed.

But what all of this doesnt tell you is that too catch the suspect the cops and FBI stormed through houses near the Marathon , knocking down doors in the middle of the night to catch this man. If i were one of those people i would be ticked off. In the middle of the night, Really?
Tell me. If you were a criminal ywould you go to a house near the bhombing to hide out? No! You would go farther away, or say a boat perhaps. DUH! Come on people!

A meteor streaked across the sky and exploded over Russia's Ural Mountains with the power of an atomic bomb Friday, its sonic blasts shattering countless windows and injuring about 1,100 people.

The spectacle deeply frightened many Russians, with some elderly women declaring that the world was coming to an end. Many of the injured were cut by flying glass as they flocked to windows, curious about what had produced such a blinding flash of light.

The meteor -- estimated to be about 10 tons and 49 feet wide -- entered the Earth's atmosphere at a hypersonic speed of at least 33,000 mph and shattered into pieces about 18-32 miles above the ground, the Russian Academy of Sciences said in a statement. But even small asteroids pack a tremendous punch, explained Andrew Cheng of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. 

"It doesn’t take a very large object. A 10-meter size object already packs the same energy as a nuclear bomb," Cheng, who led a 2000-2001 mission for NASA to orbit and land on an asteroid, told FoxNews.com. 

The meteor hit less than a day before Asteroid 2012 DA14 is to make the closest recorded pass of an asteroid to the Earth for a rock of its size -- about 17,150 miles. But the European Space Agency said its experts had determined there was no connection -- just cosmic coincidence.

The meteor released several kilotons of energy above the region, the Russian science academy said. According to NASA, it was about 15 meters or 49 feet wide before it hit the atmosphere, about one-third the size of the passing asteroid.

Some meteorite fragments fell in a reservoir outside the town of Chebarkul. The crash left a 26-foot-wide crater in the ice.

The shock wave blew in more than 1 million square feet of glass, according to city officials, who said 3,000 buildings in the city were damaged. At one zinc factory, part of the roof collapsed.

The Interior Ministry said about 1,100 people sought medical care after the shock wave and 48 of them were hospitalized. Most of the injuries were caused by flying glass, officials said.

There was no immediate word on any deaths or anyone struck by space fragments.

Two stars

Many readers know the tale of Robin Hood, but they will be swept away by this new version full of action, secrets, and romance.

OK-ay,
What i liked abouth the book is the retelling of a Robin hood adventure.
Robin hood himself was great.
Scar was a deep charictor in this book, and it was Ok. 
The Slang in the book was hard to wrap my small head around. I sometimes had to read two or three sentences over and over again. But i evetually got it. 
  I loved the humor!
But... the climax, and then the resolution came off a bit iffy.
All in all i really didnt like the book. It just didnt intrest me as much as other books.
But if you like, Adventure, A tid bit of romance,
A woman charictor saving the day,
and her herioc actions, then you will like this book!

Mortal Instruments

So I read the Mortal instruments a few years ago, and I absolutely loved them! (that was before the hunger games)
But this post isn't about the books at the moment.
Its about the movie.
  It was at the dollar theater, the last day for the movie to be playing. We were the only ones in the theater.
Which was great, by the way.
Short summary-
When her mother disappears, Clary Fray learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons. She joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld.

Anyway.... The book vs. the movie.
I know, I know. GET ON WITH IT! Right?
Well personally I don't think people should compare the books with the movies. Everyone has a different take on everything.
A lot of people said that the book followed the movie really closely. Some people said the movie sucked.
I liked the book.
Loved the movie.
 There were subtle differences between the movie and book (cause everything cant be the same.) One of my favorite parts of the movie though is where Alec meets the gay warlock dude. So funny!!! I was just rolling laughing.
