Alex Sawyer has escaped his underground nightmare to discover the whole world has become a prison, and Alfred Furnace is its master. Monsters rule the streets, leaving nothing but murder in their wake. Those who do not die become slaves to Furnace’s reign of cruelty. Alex is a monster too. He is the only one who can stop Furnace but in doing so he could destroy everything. Is he the executed or the executioner? Who will die? All Alex knows is that one way or another, it all ends..

Who wouldn't want to read something like this? The cover art is terrifying, the summary sounds amazing. Lets just say this series did not end in a disappointment. I cried, i laughed, and I truly, really liked this series.
 It was a fast paced read and I'm sad that it has to end. But on that note, it ended very well.
Was wrapped up beautifully with a red bow to tie it off.

Have you ever been shopping and looked at something on a mannequin and loved it? Then you try it on and everything fit all wrong and you're like, what the hey? 

The sleeves were too tight, the waist is too snug, and the wrists cuffs cut into you like razors. 

Eleanor and Park was like looking at a mannequin and trying the clothing on but it fit... right. Just right.

Snug in all the perfect places, loose where it needs to be, and silky along the arms. The writing was fantastic, the dialogue captured essence, and the flow of the book couldn't have been better. Rainbow Rowell did a fantastic job at capturing the essence of a first love. All the glory, all the whoosh of it, and the fall out points. Man.

It really was a good book. One your likely never to forget in the near- future.

James is Jesus's brother and the book of James talks about how we should practice our Faith. 

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything." 
James 1: 1-4

This verse goes along with being a disciple in God. A disciple is one who tells other people about God. Who knows God, and wants to learn more about him, digging up more dirt. In order to be a disciple and to spread the word we need to equip other people, challenge them, and test them in order for them to spread the word to other people.

I was at Youth group and someone said to me,
 "You cannot just say hi to someone, shake their hand and tell them your name in order to get to know them. You have to get their phone number, text them, hang with them, eat, talk, and even share secrets right?"
Well yes. 
"Even then you may be best friends and not know every little thing about them, correct?"
um... Yes again. 
"Its like this with God. You cant just pop in, ask for something, and say Hi. You have to read his word, pray, get to know him in order to tell other people about him, and share his love and faith."
OK.
I later thought to myself the words she was saying. No hi and then bye. 
I also learned at a discipleship group that you have to build an intentional relationship with God.
I-N-T-E-N-T-I-O-N-A-L Relationship.
What the hey does that mean?
You have to build up a relationship like you build a house. The foundation, brick by brick, and all the hard back work included. Get to know him by choice. indulge in the fact that you can read his word and not be whipped in public or even stoned to death.

Camy Tang gives us a funny, plucky, volleyball-playing heroine with way too many balls in the air. I defy anyone to start reading and not root for Lex all the way to the story's romantic, super-satisfying end.
Trish Perry (author of The Guy I'm Not Dating) Lex Sakai's family is big, nosy, and marriage-minded. When her cousin Mariko gets married, Lex will become the oldest single cousin in the clan. Lex has used her Bible study class on Ephesians to compile a huge list of traits for the perfect man. But the one man she keeps running into doesn't seem to have a single quality on her list. It's only when the always-in-control Lex starts to let God take over that all the pieces of this hilarious romance finally fall into place.


Sushi for one, anybody? I think not! I wish this book had gotten at least a little bit more popular.

Plus sushi is kinda gross. I loved this. It was cute, quirky, and funny all thrown into this little book. All the Japanese, Chinese  and maybe even Korean was brilliant and the males, well.... W O A H. It wasn't rushed, the characters were brilliant, and the whole set up of it: fantastic!!!

Sixteen-year-old Cheyenne Wilder is sleeping in the back of the car while her stepmom fills a prescription for antibiotics. Before Cheyenne realizes what's happening, the car is being stolen.

Griffin hadn't meant to kidnap Cheyenne and once he finds out that not only does she have pneumonia, but that she's blind, he really doesn't know what to do. When his dad finds out that Cheyenne's father is the president of a powerful corporation, everything changes--now there's a reason to keep her. 

How will Cheyenne survive this nightmare?

Have you ever craved a cheeseburger really badly? But -oh wait!- you knew a cheeseburger is bad for you. So alas and alack you chose to eat dark chocolate with a creamy center and a harder outside. 

That's what this was like. A different -what would you call it?- flavor. 

I have no complaints about this book. the characters were not flat and boring, the plot was fantastic, and the writing was flow-y. 

The ending was a little disappointing considering I wanted the two main characters to end up together. Not that that might not happen with a second book. but that's y only complaint because i was loving the beginning, and even the middle.
